Every meeting note gets its own Google Sheet, automatically
Create a meeting note in Notion, and Notis spins up a Google Sheet for it instantly. Your meeting archive is automatically organized.
Trigger
New Page
Triggers when a new page is added to a Notion database.
Action
Create sheet from JSON
Creates a new google spreadsheet and populates its first worksheet from `sheet json`, which must be non-empty as its first item's keys establish the headers.
Why this helps
Meeting notes live in Notion but they're mixed with other pages. You want a separate Google Sheet for each meeting for easy sharing, backup, and finding notes later, but manually creating sheets for every meeting kills your momentum.
- Each meeting note is backed up and accessible as a standalone sheet
- Sheets are automatically formatted and ready to share with attendees
- Meeting archive is searchable and organized
- No manual sheet creation slowing you down
Setup
Build it in a few focused steps.
- 1Connect Notion and Google Sheets to Notis.
- 2Create an automation called 'Meeting Notes Archive' with trigger 'New Page' in your Notion meetings database.
- 3Tell Notis: 'When I create a meeting note in Notion, create a new Google Sheet named after the meeting date and topic, then populate it with the meeting notes, attendees, and action items'.
- 4Specify a Google Drive folder where meeting sheets should be created.
- 5Test by creating one meeting note in Notion and verify the Google Sheet appears in your Drive.
Questions about this workflow
Can I control the naming of each Google Sheet?
Yes. Tell Notis the naming pattern (e.g., 'YYYY-MM-DD Meeting with [attendee names]'), and it will create sheets accordingly.
Does this include action items automatically?
If you have action items in a specific Notion property or section, include them in the prompt and Notis will pull them into the sheet.
Can attendees be added to the sheet automatically?
Yes. Notis can populate a row with each attendee's name, email, and role if those details are in your Notion meeting note.

Supported Triggers and Actions
Notis builds workflows that link Notion to Google Sheets. A trigger fires from one place; an action lands in another.
Notion triggers
Google Sheets actions
All Page Events
Triggers when any Notion page is created or updated across the workspace.
Add Sheet to Spreadsheet
Adds a new sheet (worksheet) to a spreadsheet. use this tool to create a new tab within an existing google sheet, optionally specifying its title, index, size, and other properties.
Comment Created
Triggers when a new comment is created in Notion. Optional `page_id` filter scopes to comments on a specific page. When omitted, fires for any new comment in the workspace the integration has access to. Requires the 'Read comments' capability on the Notion integration. If a connection was authorized before that capability was enabled, the user must re-authorize the connection for comment events to flow.
Aggregate Column Data
Searches for rows where a specific column matches a value and performs mathematical operations on data from another column.
New Comment
Triggers when a new comment is added to a specified Notion block or page.
Append Dimension
Tool to append new rows or columns to a sheet, increasing its size. use when you need to add empty rows or columns to an existing sheet.
Database Created
Triggers when a new Notion database (the container) is created. A database is the post-2025-09-03 container that holds one or more data sources. This trigger fires for the container's creation event (`database.created`), distinct from `NOTION_DATASOURCE_CREATED` which fires when a new data source is added to an existing database. Most customers calling Notion's `POST /v1/databases` (the legacy API) or creating a database via the Notion UI will see this event. Adding a new data source to an existing database fires `data_source.created` instead — use `NOTION_DATASOURCE_CREATED` for that. Notion's payload puts `entity.type: "block"` (the container is a `child_database` block in the content tree) and `entity.id` is the database id.
Batch get spreadsheet
Retrieves data from specified cell ranges in a google spreadsheet; ensure the spreadsheet has at least one worksheet and any explicitly referenced sheet names in ranges exist.
Data Source Created
Triggers when a new Notion data source is created. Fires workspace-wide. The payload's `data.parent` carries the data source's tree parent (typically the teamspace) for downstream filtering. A single template-based database creation can fire multiple `data_source.created` events at once — one per data source the template instantiates.
Batch update spreadsheet
Updates a specified range in a google sheet with given values, or appends them as new rows if `first cell location` is omitted; ensure the target sheet exists and the spreadsheet contains at least one worksheet.
Data Source Schema Updated
Triggers when a Notion data source's schema is updated. Fires on column add / remove / rename. Payload includes `data.updated_properties: [{id, name, action}]` so consumers can discriminate the kind of change downstream. Optional `data_source_id` filter scopes to schema changes on a single data source. When omitted, fires for any schema change in the workspace the integration has access to. Note: adding a column also fires `page.properties_updated` once per existing row in the data source. Customers wanting a single structural-change signal should use this trigger.
Batch Update Values by Data Filter
Tool to update values in ranges matching data filters. use when you need to update specific data in a google sheet based on criteria rather than fixed cell ranges.
New Page
Triggers when a new page is added to a Notion database.
Clear Basic Filter
Tool to clear the basic filter from a sheet. use when you need to remove an existing basic filter from a specific sheet within a google spreadsheet.
Page Added to Page
Fires when a new subpage (a `child_page` type block) is added under a specified parent Notion page.
Clear spreadsheet values
Clears cell content (preserving formatting and notes) from a specified a1 notation range in a google spreadsheet; the range must correspond to an existing sheet and cells.
